lots to say

Whether or not I can still call myself a "blogger," I'm not sure.

However, we have been busy. VERY busy. All that is for another post though.

Right now, I want to say Happy FIRST Birthday to my sweet, beautiful, wild&crazy, baby boy.

Turning 27. It's an interesting age. One of those ages where you feel like you really should have your life in order by now, but at the same time, there's so much ahead. Our dreams and wishes, the desires of our hearts, sometimes have to adjust to reality; to the way the world works. I have loved my 27 years. There are so many sweet memories packed into all of them, that I tend to get a little nostalgic if I stop and look back for too long. But I have to say, I am eagerly looking forward to the next 27. The future can be a marvelous thing! We think about it constantly and are often in a state of shock when it actually "arrives." What do the next 27 years hold in store for me? an ike vacation

Since July, Andrew and I have been looking forward to September 13th because my sweet sister-in-law Kristin and good friend Tiffany, gave us tickets to The Eagles concert in Dallas! So when Hurricane Ike decided to head straight toward Houston, we got a little anxious about being on the road with so many people. We evacuated during Hurricane Rita a few years ago and didn't want to have a repeat of hours and hours in the car. We headed out Thursday afternoon and had a pretty decent trip to the DFW area. While we were there, we were able to see lots of family and a few friends, who either live there or were evacuated themselves.

Last night we had dinner with our good friends, Brooke & Justin, and their new little addition, Preston Wayne! He is such a sweet baby!

It's no secret that I am in love with my friends' babies! A couple of weeks ago, Jennie asked me to help her take a birth announcement photo of Julia! We had fun and Julia did a great job giving her best smiles! We took about 150 pictures, but here are a few of my favorites, without showing which one they picked of course! Love you Jen & Jules!
