sleep all day

Sully was not happy with me this morning when I had to disturb him to make the bed. Our dogs go back to bed every morning - rough life they lead.

holiday rewind

We have been traveling. a lot. We traveled every week and/or weekend since Thanksgiving! We are so lucky that we were able to see so many family members and friends, but it makes it hard to keep up with certain things...like, the blog! I do what I can from the road, but here's a holiday slideshow...a THANKSGIVING one. Stay tuned, more to come! Click on it to make it bigger!

happy seven months

Little man is seven months old and so much fun! He notices (and wants) everything! He still loves to eat. We introduced a lot in December and started meats yesterday with chicken. He is sitting up all by himself very well now, and we don't think it will be long before he is mobile! Mom is in no rush for that! We were at the doctor's office yesterday for part two of his flu shot, so I had him weighed - 19.4 lbs! Here are a couple of recent pictures.

Riding in the grocery cart for the first time!

Having his first teething biscuit and loving it!

Happy 1/2 Birthday

Unbelievable how fast the time has gone. I know I say that every post, we say it every day, but it is so true. Our little man has been with us for 1/2 a year, and it feels like yesterday we were meeting him for the first time! Little B keeps us so busy, and I am doing a terrible job of updating this neglected blog! New Year's resolution? perhaps. Anyway, a quick update from his 6 month check up!
18.05 pounds = 50%
26.75 inches = 60%
His head circumference was also 50%

So according to those, he's pretty average in his stats, but the first comment we usually get from others (even strangers) goes something like this... "Wow, he's a BIG boy!" "He doesn't miss a meal, does he?!?" Or something else similar. Maybe it's his chipmunk cheeks that make people think he's enormous! Regardless, he is such a true joy! Bishop is sooo happy, pretty much all the time. He has his moments, but overall, he's very content. He has the best laugh, and we get to hear it often!

A few things I don't want to forget about you at six months...
*The other day your dad said, "can you believe he used to be just a lump?"
*You LOVE to eat! Eating sweet potatoes, green beans, squash, corn, carrots, avocado, applesauce, pears, blueberries, & prunes. The only thing you don't like is green peas, and you'll eat them you just cry through it.
*you took your first plane ride at 6 months with mommy and were great on the plane.
*You ate such a little studier, taking in all this big world has to offer.
*You still go to sleep with your pacifier and soothe yourself by grasping something (often mommy's hair or face)

worn out

This morning while we were getting ready to take Mom to the airport to her car, we put Bishop in his crib to play and look at his mobile. He was talking up a storm, and then we found him like this...

I guess he was worn out from our LONG weekend!
